We are pleased to launch our 501 (c)(3) site to give back to the community that helped us through our most sorrowful part of our life.
Once Upon Olivia, Inc. was founded in loving memory of our daughter, Olivia Gale, who left this world far too soon at just three years old. Although her life was brief, the love she gave and the joy she brought into our lives continue to inspire everything we do.
Our mission is to provide struggling families in Cecil County, MD that have had a tragic loss of a child with financial support to provide a proper burial.

Chiamaka's Story (Age 14)
Chiamaka dreamed of becoming a software developer but had never touched a computer. Through your digital literacy classes, she learned how to use a tablet and access educational resources online, opening up a world of new possibilities for her future.
Pendo' Story (Age 6)
There were days when [Pendo] only had one small meal. Your sustainable agriculture program taught her family how to grow a variety of nutritious foods in their small garden. Now, [Pendo] has the energy to run and play all day.
When Jabari got a high fever, his parents worried because the nearest clinic was a long, expensive trip away. Thanks to your support for the new local community health post, he received fast treatment and is now back to his cheerful self.
Kwame's Story (Age 10)
Kwame's village often dealt with sickness from dirty water. His mother would spend hours walking to a faraway, safer well. Since your clean water project installed a borehole nearby, Kwame and his family are healthier, and he has more time to play after school.
Amara's Story (Age 8)
Before your organization provided school materials, [Amara] sometimes missed class because her family couldn't afford a pencil or notebook. Now, with a new backpack full of supplies, she is a confident student who loves to read and learn.
Aisha was very shy and worried about speaking in school. By joining your mentorship program, she found a supportive role model who helped her discover her voice and believe in her ideas.
